The Western Branch will hold a lecture in preparation for Mouth Cancer Awareness Day on Tuesday 10th September 2013 at 8pm in the Clayton Hotel, Ballybrit, Galway.

Mouth Cancer Awareness Day is happening this year on Wednesday 18th September. All dental practitioners are asked to get involved by offering FREE mouth cancer examinations on that day to members of the public. This lecture will prepare participants for examinations on 18th September.

Speaker: Mr Patrick McCann, Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant, Galway

Mr McCann will give practical advice to participating dentists as to what to look for in an oral cancer exam, identify benign, premalignant and malignant lesions. There will also be advice given on how to refer patients on the day.
