A meeting for the members of the Eastern, South Eastern and Midland branches of the IDA has been arranged for Thursday 16th June 2011 at 7.30 p.m. in the Hotel Kilkenny, Kilkenny.

The speaker will be Dr Catherine McKinley and the title is "A fresh look at dentistry for children".

Mr Fintan Hourihan, Chief Executive, IDA will follow with a presentation on "The future of state funded dentistry".

The presentation will cover developments affecting the DTSS and DTBS as well as discussing the implications for dentistry of the introduction of a Dutch model of universal healthcare and developments in the HSE-delivered services. A key element will be affording members an opportunity to state their views, concerns and preferences also.
