24/11/09 New study finds operating costs for dentists in the Republic over 100,000 euro greater than in Northern Ireland.
A study on the economics of dentistry which is due to be published shortly will show that operating costs for principal dentists in family practices in the Republic exceed those of their counterparts in Northern Ireland by over 102,000 euro a year.

06/11/09 IDA Pre-Budget Submission Presented to Government
Young children with Special Needs are being forced to wait up to 3 years to see a HSE Dentist because of the recruitment ban in the HSE according to the Irish Dental Association [IDA]. The Association has made a pre Budget submission to the Government which urges the lifting of the HSE moratorium on recruitment of Public Dental Surgeons in order to alleviate this crisis.
 
21/10/09 Advice to HSE Dentists re Swine Flu Vaccination
The Association has issued advice to members employed by the HSE who are being invited to participate in mass vaccination clinics associated with the A(H1N1) pandemic, available to view in the members page. You may also download new guidance documents issued by the HSE on our homepage (right).
