The Irish Dental Association has launched an online continuing professional development (CPD) tool for dentists.
Aurion Learning, a Belfast based company, was contracted by the Irish Dental Association to develop a software tool to allow dentists to manage their continuing professional development online.
Fintan Hourihan, Chief Executive Officer of the Irish Dental Association said:
"We recommend that our members complete 50 hours of CPD per year. CPD Assist has a searchable catalogue of approved training activities and easy to use 'record' and 'reflect' functions, so that members can plan, document and assess completed CPD activities throughout the year.
Our administrators can run reports to gain a better insight into CPD activity across the professional body and offer more targeted training opportunities.
Our members can access CPD Assist by logging onto www.cpd.dentist.ie and we encourage everyone to give it a try."
